“Plumage” – another in my series of intuitive paintings. I didn’t intend for this to look like feathers from the outset, but that’s what it ended up looking like to me! That’s one of the things I love about this painting style. I love just exploring the paint and seeing where it takes me. It’s especially fun in watercolours, because they really have a mind of their own sometimes.
This original painting is in A4 size, which makes it easy to purchase frames for. It is available for purchase from my Etsy store. Prints and products like the ones featured below are available from Redbubble.
This painting is part of my intuitive art series. What is intuitive art? I’m sure it means different things to different people, but for me, it’s about letting go as I paint – using painting as a form of meditation. Seeing where the brush takes me without having a plan in mind at the beginning. It’s really relaxing and I think this is one of my favourite types of painting to create.
This one is hard to capture digitally – the gold paint has a lovely shimmer to it.
The original painting is A4 size, and is available for purchase in my Etsy store. Prints and products like the ones featured below are available via Redbubble.
“Subterranean 2” is an original abstract watercolour painting, inspired by layers of sedimentary rock and earth. It is a larger version of a much smaller painting I did a few years ago. The original painting is now SOLD – but you can find prints and products like the ones below at Redbubble. Or, if you’re interested in something similar, please get in touch for a commission!
The inspiration for this painting was a posy of wildflowers, picked in the spring and beginning to dry and wilt as spring moves in to summer. Painted in shimmery gold paint, this painting is prettier in person than it is on the screen!

I called this painting ‘contemplation’ because this style of painting is very meditative to me. I never know what the finished painting is going to be like when I begin – I just go with the flow, and see where the paint takes me. I love this combination of colours!
